Your role as Project Manager
As a project manager, you will be responsible for delivering packaging systems to our customers. You do this in accordance with planning, budget and resources while maintaining quality. In this role, you manage a multidisciplinary project team and you are the discussion partner for the customer and suppliers.
Being a project manager at Ranpak means being responsible for up to eight projects simultaneously. A project duration may differ between 35 weeks up to a year and a half (from Order to Go Live). There are several stakeholders involved in the process, such as clients, Engineering, Logistics, Production Order, Purchasing, Service and Aftersales.
The tasks within your role include but are not limited to:
- Managing and detailing project specifications in cooperation with customers/suppliers;
- Project monitoring of multiple projects including project review & reporting;
- Inspiring and motivating your project teams and bring out the best in them, in addition to managing cross-functional project teams;
- Reporting per project to the steering committee and operationally to the Department Manager;
- Continuously monitor and manage the deployment of appropriate technical, functional and software solutions;
- Maintaining contact with customers and suppliers in a professional manner and creating a relationship for the longer term, think stakeholder management.
Your profile
As a Project Manager, you have an affinity with technology, logistics and automation processes and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. You are proficient in communication. Furthermore, you have strong analytical skills and can quickly decipher problems. You do not mind travelling both domestically and abroad around 10 to 15% of your working time. Moreover, you recognize yourself in the following qualifications:
- A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in the direction of Mechanical Engineering or Logistics Management / Business Administration or other related fields;
- At least three years of experience as Project Manager;
- Fluent in English both verbal and written. Dutch or German language is a plus;
- Excellent command of MS Office;
- ERP experience (SAP) is a plus;
- Willingness to travel (10 to 15%).
